Service Rates

The current hourly rates are:

• Occupational Therapy – $210.00 excluding GST
• Speech Pathology – $210.00 excluding GST

Please note: The information below has recently changed. The structure of service and pricing below will commence 12/10/2026. All current services will proceed as planned until this time.

How Appointment Fees Are Structured

Your initial appointment will run for 60 minutes in total.

There’s also 15 minutes allocated for administrative time, during which your practitioner will document the details of your session, plan future interventions/sessions, and send any relevant information to you or anyone else as required.

Follow-up appointments are either 30, 45 or 60 minutes long, based on the intervention required and your preference. There will be an additional 15 minutes allocated to administrative time for all follow-up sessions.

If you require us to travel to you, this is charged at $210.00 per hour and $1.00 per km travelled.

Total Cost Per Appointment

Initial Appointment
60-minute appointment + 15 minutes non-face-to-face administrative time = $265.50 (no travel included).

Follow Up Appointments

30-minute appointment + 15 minutes non-face-to-face administrative time = $157.50 (no travel included).

45-minute appointment + 15 minutes non-face-to-face administrative time = $210.00 (no travel included).

60-minute appointment + 15 minutes non-face-to-face administrative time = $265.50 (no travel included).

Medicare and Private Health Rebates

You may be eligible for Medicare or Private Healthcare rebates when accessing private pay services. DLS Allied Health does not process rebates onsite, but you will receive an invoice that you can provide to Medicare or your health insurer.

When accessing Medicare rebates, it is important that you obtain a referral before starting therapy. You will need to provide a copy of the referral to DLS Allied Health so we can better understand what you need, and we can ensure your invoice has the right details to enable you to get your rebate from Medicare.

DLS Allied Health makes no guarantees as to whether you will receive a rebate or not.

Medicare rebate estimates as of 01/10/2026:

GP Chronic Condition Management Plan (GPCCMP) - $63.40 per session (limit of 5 sessions per calendar year).

Complex Neurodevelopmental Disorders & Eligible Disabilities - $89.50 per session (limit 20 treatment sessions lifetime with 10 per treatment cycle, and 8 assessment sessions lifetime).

Please note, these are rebate estimates. DLS Allied Health makes no guarantee that you are eligible for rebates or the total of the rebated amount.

You will receive an invoice after your session, which must be paid within 7 days, and you can submit this invoice to Medicare for eligible rebates. DLS Allied Health do not process rebates on your behalf at this time.

GST Exemptions

GST is excluded from most allied health services as part of the ATO's GST exemption list, provided the services are considered a 'treatment'. This includes almost all services we deliver privately.

Some exclusions to this policy include consulting for other businesses or organisations, and training for other allied health professionals.
